Dainik Bhaskar consolidates with new & existing hires

Dainik Bhaskar Group has appointed Pradeep Dwivedi as Chief Corporate Sales & Marketing Officer. He took charge from January 15, 2013. Dwivedi will be based out of Mumbai and will be reporting to Sudhir Agarwal, Managing Director, DB Corp.

Meanwhile, Prasoon Pandey has been elevated as Head of Media and Investor Relations, Dainik Bhaskar Group.

In his new role, Dwivedi will be responsible for overall sales revenues and will be leading nationwide corporate sales for the group publications. He will also be responsible for trade marketing and establishing the brand amongst the corporate market and will be the Bhaskar representative at industry and government forums.

Announcing the appointment, Sudhir Agarwal, MD, DB Corp said, “Pradeep is a very accomplished senior sales and marketing professional, and with him taking charge, the group would benefit from the diversity of his experience to take on the emerging challenges and further strengthen the group’s leadership in the media sector.”

Commenting on his new stint, Dwivedi said, “I am excited at the opportunity of joining the leadership team at India’s largest and most innovative newspaper group, working with our esteemed corporate customers and agency partners to firmly establish Dainik Bhaskar Group’s businesses and realise the vision to be the largest and most admired media brand, enabling socio-economic change.”

Prior to joining DB Corp, Dwivedi was with Tata Teleservices as Regional Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President - Enterprise Business. He has 19 years’ experience in B2B and B2C domains across functions and industries. Besides Tata Teleservices, he has also worked with American Express Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, GE Capital and Eicher Motors.

Meanwhile, prior to his promotion, Pandey was handling investor relations at Dainik Bhaskar Group. He is now also responsible for media relations. The idea is to create smooth and seamless access. Pandey continues to be based out of Mumbai and will report to Girish Agarwal, Promoter Director, DB Corp.

Commenting on his new role and responsibility, Pandey said, “I am delighted to take the new responsibility of representing Dainik Bhaskar Group’s media relations office, in addition to investor relations. Dainik Bhaskar Group as a media conglomerate is taking rapid strides and I look forward to actively communicate our organisation’s vision, endeavours and growth story to all associates.”

Pandey has been with the group for the last six years and was responsible for the company’s initial public offering in 2009. Post listing if the company, he has been heading investor relations.
