Comedy Central premieres-'Suits' Season 6

Comedy Central will premiere the sixth season of legal dramedy – ‘Suits’ on July 16 at 10 PM. To welcome the return of the amazing duo and their remarkable colleagues, Comedy Central will be hosting a special screening of the show’s premiere episode in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore before its US telecast, i.e., on July 12 making India viewers the first fans across the globe to watch the season premiere episode.

After receiving an overwhelming response to the season 5 premiere screening in Mumbai,  Comedy Central is hosting exclusive screenings for the latest season’s premiere; this time, across 3 cities – Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. The channel has associated with Khar Social, Hauz Khas Social and Church Street Social in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore respectively.

Sabrina D’Souza, Marketing Head, English Entertainment, Viacom18 shared, “Comedy Central has always been a viewer favorite & to maintain our distinct edge in the category, we will continue to air iconic shows like Suits which have a massive fan-following. The special screening, will give a select few the opportunity to watch the premiere of the new season before the world, thereby reinforcing our channel’s aim to be Your Happy Place not just on screen but also off screen.”

Shobita Kadan, Director - Marketing and Strategy, Impresario Handmade Restaurants (parent company of Social) said, “Social as a brand is an integral part of the cultural landscape of the young urban consumer. We are delighted to partner with Comedy Central to provide a platform for the screening of a show like SUITS for which we share a common audience. With this association we will be giving our patrons and true Suits fans the opportunity to attend the screening before the world, reinstating the culture defining Social experience.”

The premiere of SUITS Season 6 is supported by a robust 360 degree marketing campaign which includes promotional activities across online, print and radio platforms as well as all television channels from the Viacom18 fold. On their digital platforms, Comedy Central hosted a trivia contest, the winners of which will get an opportunity to attend the special screening.

Last season’s finale left its viewers in a lurch, when Harvey dropped Mike off at the Federal Correctional Institution followed with a dramatic shot of Jessica, Donna and Louis watching the firm collapse. The new season is all set to pull immense viewership from fans of Comedy Central and Suits in India, who’ve been waiting for it in anticipation.
