BIG Magic’s ‘Rudra Ke Rakshak’ takes kids on a journey of fantasy and adventure

General entertainment channel BIG Magic has diversified its bouquet of offerings with ‘Rudra Ke Rakshak’, a new show in the children’s fantasy genre. Each episode in the show revolves around the adventurous world of the protagonist, Avi, essayed by child actor Yash Sehgal, and his cousins Vishu (Mohd. Saud) and Maya (Mahi Milan).  The fast-paced fantasy show, targeting children, takes us into a world of wizardry filled with fantastical kingdoms and mythical creatures. The show went on air March 27, and will be telecast Monday to Friday at 6.30 pm.

History and mythology are referred fittingly in this ‘Good vs Evil’ saga, instilling a strong value system among kids while entertaining them. The show subtly outlines the inherited superpowers of white magic, passed on to the primary protagonist and his two cousins as part of their family lineage. With these exceptional powers, they fight Gurukaal- the leader of black magicians. The show’s promotion has been driven by a 360-degree marketing approach, to reach out to the target markets through its various campaigns across TV, radio, on-ground and digital.

‘Rudra Ke Rakshak’ is inspired profoundly by our rich Hindu scriptures. Commenting on the show, a BIG Magic spokesperson said, “We are thrilled to announce our new show ‘Rudra Ke Rakshak’, which promises to take viewers on a journey of fantasy and adventure with strong moral values at its core. As a variety general entertainment channel, our objective is to diversify our offerings as much as possible, whilst continuing to bolster the value we bring to the table for our stakeholders and consumers.”
