Big CBS Spark Punjabi looks for female entertainment icon

Big CBS Spark Punjabi, the regional general entertainment channel for the Punjab, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh (PCHP) region, is strengthening its standing and appeal amongst the local populace with its programming mix, which ranges from daily sitcoms, reality shows, music and international reality shows dubbed in Punjabi to weekend blockbuster movies.

As another programming innovation, the channel is now launching a VJ hunt, called ‘Mutiyar Punjab Di’. The winner of the show will get to host her own show on Big CBS Spark Punjabi. The show is scheduled to launch during the festive quarter.

The reality show will be spread across the six key markets of the Northern region consisting of Chandigarh, Patiala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Amritsar and Jammu. A 24-episode series which will last six weeks, ‘Mutiyar Punjab Di’ has a matrix with comprises several activities and interactive games which the contestants will have to go through, and on the basis of the results of the various levels, participants will be shortlisted.

Each city will have top three contestants, who will then move on to the grand finale to compete for the title of ‘Mutiyar Punjab Di’, which will be judged by a panel of judges comprising celebrities and big-wigs of social organisations and the business world. This initiative is backed by Big FM.
