Volume Growth of TV and Radio channel Promotions in Print during Jan-Oct'08


19% rise in ad volumes of TV channel promotions in Print during Jan-Oct'08 compared to Jan-Oct ‘07.

Print ad volumes of Radio channel promotions witnessed a growth of 47% during Jan-Oct'08 over Jan-Oct'07.

TV and Radio channel promotions each had equally advertised on Newspaper and Magazines i.e. 91:9

Zone wise contribution of TV and Radio Channel Promotions in Print



34% of TV channel promotions were in the publications from West Zone followed by North zone with 32%.

More than 75% of Radio channel promotions ad volumes in Print were accounted by the publications from the West and North zone in Jan-Oct ‘08.


Magazine Genre preference for TV and Radio Channel Promotions in Print


‘Media & Advertising’ was the 1st preference among the magazine genre for TV and Radio channel promotions in Print during Jan-Oct ’08..

‘Entertainment (Movie/TV)’ and ‘News/Current Affairs’ had the 2nd and 3rd highest share of overall ad volumes of TV channel promotion in Print during Jan-Oct ’08.

Whereas, ‘General Interest’ and ‘Business/Finance/Economy’ were at 2nd and 3rd place among the magazine genre used for Radio channel promotions during Jan-Oct ‘08.


TV & Radio channel promotions in Metro, Non Metro and Mini Metro Newspapers

Maximum advertising of TV and Radio channels in Non Metro newspapers followed by Metro and Mini Metro in Jan-Oct'08.

Top Players for TV and Radio channel promotions in Print during Jan-Oct ‘08





• ‘Star TV Network’, ‘NDTV Network’ & ‘Sony Network’ were the top three players for TV Channel promotions in Print together contributing 36% share.

•  87% share was accounted by the Top 5 advertisers of Radio channel promotion in Print, where ‘Synergy Media Entertainment’ had the largest share (59%).
