Print ad volumes up 5 pc during first half of 2008 – AdEx Analysis

Volume Growth of Print advertising during H1 '08

During 1st half of 2008, Print advertising grew by 5% compared to same period in 2007.


Newspapers and Magazines were used in an advertising ratio of 95:5 during H1 ’08.

Share of Metro, Non Metro and Mini Metro Newspapers


During H1 '08, 'Non Metro' Newspapers had a larger share of 53% in the overall Print advertising followed by 'Metro' and 'Mini' Newspapers with 36% and 12% share respectively.

‘Education', 'Services' and 'Banking/Finance/Investment' were the top 3 sectors in Print during Jan - June '08.
