This week, AdEx India looks at category-Cement. Let’s look at its advertising spends in Press 2004.



2004 witnesses a growth of 70% in Cement advertising compared to 2003.
When do Cement advertisers prefer to spend across the year? The graph below gives the answers.

Summer season gets the maximum advertising across 2000-04 whereas 2001 shows maximum advertising in Q4.
Let’s look at its advertising spends in the past years.

2000 shows the maximum advertising across the past years (00-03) in Press.
Let’s look at the Top 5 Spenders in Press in 2004?



The graph shows that ‘The Associated Cement Co. Ltd.’ tops Cement advertising (with 28% of the advertising share) followed by ‘Lafarge India Ltd’ at the 2nd position whereas ‘Ambuja Cement’ gets the 3rd position.
