Advertising by Real Estate firms on Print in H1 2007


Highlights:

• Advertising by Real Estate firms saw a dip of 5% in H1'07 compared to H1'06 on Print

• Q4 saw the maximum ad volumes across 2005-06

• Sector ‘Real Estate’ garnered 85% of advertising by firms in H1 ‘07

• Advertising ratio of 70:30 by National and Local players

• Real Estate players saw 57% of ad volumes however Supplements had a share of 43%

• In Supplements, 61% of advertising were accounted by Real Estate based supplements

• HDIL topped advertising in the Main Issue whereas Reddy Structures leads in Supplements

• Approx. 260 ads/day on an average by Real Estate firms in newspapers

(Note: The entire analysis is based on Column Centimeters)

Advertising by Real Estate firms on Print in H1 07 vs. H1 06



• Advertising by Real Estate firms saw a 22% rise in Magazines however a dip of 6% in Newspapers in H1 07 over H1 06

• Advertising ratio of 97:3 used in Newspapers and Magazines

Quarterly share of advertising by Real Estate players on Print



• Real Estate players focused their advertising during the festive season on Print



Advertising across various Sectors on Print in Jan-June’07



• Apart from Real Estate sector, the firms also focused on Event based advertising and Public Issues

• H1 07 saw event based advertising by Technopak for ‘8th Marketing Retail Conclave’ on Print

• Advertising in Public Issues recorded a growth of 1.6 times in H1 07 over H1 06

Share of advertising in Main Issue and Supplements in H1 07



• Compared to H1’06, advertising in Supplements registered a rise of 35% in H1’07 whereas Main Issue saw a dip of 23%

• A high 61% of advertising by Real Estate players in Real Estate based supplements

Share of National vs. Local Real Estate players in H1 ’07

• Local Real Estate players which accounted to 31% of ad volumes saw a rise of 16% in H1 07 over H1 06 whereas there was a dip of 13% in advertising by National players



Top Real Estate players in Main Issue and Supplements

• Parsvanath Developers and Vian Infrastructure secured their positions in the Top 10 list in Main Issue and Supplements in H1 07



Average Ads/Day by Real Estate players in Newspapers

• H1 07 saw approx. equal number of ads per day by Real Estate firms in newspapers compared to H1 06
