STAR India Pvt Ltd has come up with an innovation that will see an advertising roadblock with Hindustan Unilever (HUL) brands for the entire day across the network on Thursday, September 17, 2009. All Star India channels – Star Plus, Star One, Star Gold, Star Utsav, Star Movies, Star World, Channel [v], Star Jalsha, Star Pravah and Star Vijay – will have advertisements of only HUL brands, with Lifebuoy leading the pack.

Speaking on this initiative, Kevin Vaz, EVP – Advertising and Sales, STAR India, said, “At STAR, we have always gone that extra mile to provide our customers with exclusive campaigns that create a high impact for their brands. The first time this was done as a network roadblock was in 2007, when Hutch changed to Vodafone. We are confident that this roadblock with HUL brands, primarily Lifebuoy, will create as huge an impression in the minds of the customers as it did for Vodafone.”

Srikanth Srinivasamadhavan, GM, Media Services, Hindustan Unilever Ltd, said, “We are pleased to be a part of an idea that will exclusively reach us to more than 100 million viewers in India at the same time throughout the day. It is innovative and is expected to bring stronger engagement with consumers.”

STAR India has been creating breakthrough advertising opportunities for its clients. Many leading Indian companies have not only launched, but also created a high level of buzz around their brands, by associating with STAR India and the Star Parivaar platforms through eye-catching and clutter-breaking marketing campaigns.
