The popular ‘Indian Idol’ has got one of its judges back. Sonu Nigam has returned on the talent show. Miditech is handling Sony Entertainment Television’s big-ticket ‘Indian Idol’ in its third season.

Niret Alva, Executive Producer, ‘Indian Idol’, Miditech, said, “We are gearing up to welcome back Sonu Nigam. We basically chose him because he’s a brilliant role model for young singers and has a superb voice and stage presence. He will evaluate the final list and judge the contestants’ performance. We will also have a special performance by Alisha Chennai.”

Besides Nigam, the other judges are Anu Malik, Javed Akhtar and Udit Narayan. The last six finalists will be shortlisted in the coming episode. The winner will be announced in the third week of September.

“This is the third season of ‘Indian Idol’ in which we have had both adults and kids performing in the show. We have targetted budding singers from smaller towns as well,” said Alva.
