Overview of advertising by consumer durables on print in 2007: AdEx study January 08, 08

Consumer durables saw a drop of 2 per cent in print ad volumes during 2007 as compared to the previous year. High advertising was witnessed during Diwali across both 2006 and 2007. Television Sets drove the advertising for consumer durables during 2007, while LG Electronics led advertising on print for this segment. Consumer durables advertising was dominant in general interest newspapers, and news and current affairs magazines.

Biscuits advertising spends grew 62% in 2005 compared to 2004: AdEx study January 17, 06

The biscuits category witnessed a substantial increase in print advertising in 2005. The largest spender among biscuit brands was Priya Gold Biscuits. Interestingly, only 8 per cent of the overall print ad spend went to children’s publications.

Entertainment Zones advertising spends grew 55 pc in Jan-Nov 2005-AdEx analysis January 10, 06

Till November 2005 advertising spends by Entertainment Zones had grown by 55 per cent. While magazines saw a paltry 3 per cent advertising, newspapers got the maximum attention. PVR Cinemas, which recently launched its latest multiplex in Noida, advertised the most in Print during January-November 2005.
