To address the changing
dynamics of the media industry, exchange4media
has initiated exchange4media Conclave 2003. To
start with, the event was successfully organized
in Delhi and Mumbai
with a huge applause from the industry. It provided
a platform for the industry leaders to discuss
the burning issues of the business of media.
The Mumbai event
held at Hotel Taj Land's End on 5th February was
inaugurated by Subhash Chandra, Chairman, ZEE
TV. Addressing a huge gathering of media and marketing
fraternity, Chandra declared, "In the last
ten years, I am addressing such a formal gathering
for the first time."
The Delhi edition
of the Conclave was held on 30th January at Hotel
Marriot Welcome. The event also witnessed the
launch of the second annual issue of 'Media Outlook
2003'. In another pioneering initiative, exchange4media
also launched its 'On the Move' edition that gives
the industry news on the subscriber's cellphones
using SMS.
A
series of lively panel discussions divided in
3 sessions with industry thought leaders involved
in an intense debate kept the audience glued.
Paranjoy Thakurata, the veteran journalist, was
the master of ceremonies for the both the evenings.
Mumbai
Session I
First, 'Are the clients getting the best RoI?', The panel
for this session comprised of Sam Balsara - CEO, Madison
Communications, Ishan Raina, CEO, Euro RSCG Communications,
Paulomi Dhawan, VP, Raymonds, Kevin Eyers - Alta Vista,
Elkana Ezekiel - VP, Johnson & Johnson and Rohinton
Maloo, CEO, Cutting Edge Media. The discussion was triggered

Topic of the second session was 'Are we delivering a great
media solution?' And the panelists were Andre Nair,CEO,

Ashish Bhasin - President, Initiative Media and LV Krishnan
- CEO, TAM. It was moderated by Amit Agnihotri, Editor

Session III The concluding session of the evening in Mumbai was
'Marrying message and content, Is it a dangerous trend?'
The panelists for the session included Samir Nair - COO,
