Zapak unveils a novel mode to advertise – Zapak.tv

Zapak, the online gaming portal from Reliance Entertainment, has announced the launch of Zapak.tv. The new initiative will provide all the latest dope on the gaming industry with loads of diverse channels, including celebrity chats and game reviews. The launch also saw Zapak tie up with actress Bipasha Basu for a game titled ‘Beach Blaze’.

Rohit Sharma, COO, Zapak Digital Entertainment Ltd, said, “Launching Zapak.tv at this stage will guarantee player loyalty and ensure that the players keep coming back for more. Moreover, we will be using it for advertisements as well once the beta phase is completed. And surely it is one of our revenue models.”

Players will be able to host fun and gaming related video content on Zapak.tv by writing to it and sending across their videos. The content for Zapak.tv is being created by an in-house production team that will showcase game previews and reviews, cheat codes, and also celeb chats in the offering.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajesh Sawhney, President, Reliance Entertainment Ltd, said, “Bollywood is probably the biggest craze in India. We at Zapak.com are helping visitors on our website play out their fantasies by letting them be or play with their favourite star.”

According to Sharma, the gaming portal had exceeded their expectations and “has reached 500,000 registrations and crossed 50,000,000 page views since its launch on November 25, 2006. We aim to capitalise on this success. We have tied up with international companies for top titles in casual gaming. We are also tying up with Bollywood stars to establish a better connect with the players”.
