Zapak takes the gaming route to create cricket zone for SRK’s Kolkata Knight Riders

Zapak Digital Entertainment Ltd has tied up with Shah Rukh Khan’s IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders, as its official Internet gaming partner. As a part of the partnership, Zapak would create a dedicated cricket zone on the official website of the Kolkata Knight Riders.

As part of the initiative, 10 cricket games would be custom-made especially around the Kolkata Knight Riders, and based on the response for these games, Zapak would introduce more games in this zone. This cricket zone aims to give cricket lovers a chance to be part of the Kolkata Knight Riders while sitting at home and indulging in their favourite sport.

Cricket has been the most popular game on since the company’s inception. The gaming portal hosts 18 games based on cricket.

Speaking on the partnership, Khan said, “ was an ideal choice as the Internet gaming partner for Kolkata Knight Riders as they have the strongest and largest database when it comes to online games in India. We were looking for someone who could capture the essence of cricket and at the same time promote Knight Riders as the best IPL club., with their custom-built games around Knight Riders, would give gamers an opportunity to feel and be a part of Knight Riders.”

Today, cricket fans can have their favourite game across all means of communication mediums – be it television, mobile or the Internet.
