Zapak, Neo Sports bring online ball-by-ball coverage of Indo-Pak cricket series

Zapak.com and Neo Sports have announced the launch of neosports.zapak.com, a portal to bring the ongoing India Pakistan Cricket Series, live online. The portal has a ball-by-ball coverage of the five ODIs and three Tests through video-on-demand (VOD), supported by an interactive live scorecard. Users can also participate in the ‘Quick Cricket’ single player online tournament to win prizes. Access to the content would be available through a daily online pass of Rs 50 for a VOD package.

“The online initiative between Neo Sports and Zapak.com has been devised to ensure that cricket fans do not miss out on any of the action. The cricket zone on Zapak.com is the most frequented and popular section, and getting to see the matches live online would just be the icing on the cake for all cricket fans,” said Rohit Sharma, COO, Zapak Digital Entertainment Limited.

Shashi Kalathil, CEO, Neo Sports, added, “We are pleased to partner with Zapak to maximise the online potential of the ongoing Indian Oil Cup. Zapak’s track record of successfully managing a hybrid of subscription and advertising model, coupled with the unparalleled consumer demand surrounding the India-Pakistan series, should provide the ideal recipe for success.”

The online initiative is being promoted through a multimedia campaign covering television, online and radio.
