Yellojobs.com rides the viral video wave

Yellojobs.com, a professional network for career growth and opportunities, has come out with an interesting online viral video in sync with its referral networking programme. Yellojobs.com is a joint venture between Singapore-based online advertising company Yello Pvt Ltd, and London-headquartered recruitment company Contact Recruitment Ltd, which has a strong presence in India.

The video, titled ‘Sell your boss’, features a young employee being harassed and harangued by his bullying boss until the tables are turned. The referral recruitment slant brings in the tempting idea of packing off the boss instead and earning some handsome cash in the process.

“The video is a comic reverse of Yellojobs.com’s recent online poll results that suggest bad bosses to be the dominant reason for employee attrition. ‘Sell your boss’ is currently playing on popular social networks and a number of video-sharing sites, including YouTube. We are looking at more creative marketing mix to promote our network and the concept of viral videos is a great tool to connect and maximise exposure,” said Vikramjit Singh Sahaye, General Manager, Yello India.

“We are focusing on a multitude of distribution channels to increase visibility and viral reach. Social media optimisation of videos is also our top priority,” said Sajal Gupta, BD Head of Regalix Delhi, the media agency behind the video.
