Yatra.com partners with Tyroo to promote and sell designated ad space

Online travel company Yatra.com and Tyroo Media, a global advertising network funded by Yahoo!, have announced a strategic alliance that will allow Tyroo to exclusively promote and sell designated advertising space on Yatra.com to interested companies in India and overseas.

Commenting on the alliance, Pratik Mazumder, Head - Marketing and Strategic Relations, Yatra.com, said, “In this new world of technology, online marketing and advertising are the buzz words, and it’s a privilege for us to join hands with Tyroo for this online advertising engagement. With this tie-up, we expect many more prestigious advertisers to promote their brands on Yatra.com and reach out to one of the most filtered, targeted and premium audience. At Yatra.com, we have always believed in the highest level of customer service, and we will offer the same when it comes to servicing our advertisers.”

Tyroo will be responsible for sales on Yatra.com website to interested parties in India and overseas and shall receive exclusivity for designated advertisement space during the term of this association with Yatra.com. In return, Tyroo will receive commission for the space sold.

Siddharth Puri, Head – Product & Business Development, Tyroo, said, “We are excited to partner with Yatra. The company’s unique e-commerce audience proposition fits perfectly in Tyroo’s ongoing endeavour to provide marketers with newer and better products to reach out to the best evolved and premium users online. With our partnership with Yatra, we will offer innovative and engaging advertising opportunities to companies, which help them build stronger online brand associations and engage the audience.”

Yatra.com had opened its website for advertising last year and some of the top advertisers like Nokia, Airtel, Citibank, HP, ICICI, Reliance Communications, Tata Indicom, Hyundai i20, Mahindra Xylo, Fiat Linea, and Maruti Suzuki have advertised on the website during the year.

The group released the Little Hearts online-only campaign, #BreakSomeHearts, early this year and is on the path to make many more of its brands available on the digital platform
