WYP Brand Solutions wins mandate for Wedding Wishlist

Wedding Wishlist, the pioneer of the globally popular concept of wedding registries in India, handed over the marketing and strategy mandate to WYP Brand Solutions. Based out of Chennai, Wedding Wishlist enables prospective couples to create their wedding gifts wishlist and share it with their relatives and friends to receive the gifts they would need for their new life.

Globally known as Wedding Registry, it is a widely used concept for couples getting married. Registries enable couples to share the list of gifts they would need and use after marriage. Registries are equally appreciated by wedding guests, as it allows them to choose gifts that are meaningful and cherished by the couple.

Wedding Wishlist was started by the same team which is behind CherryTin, India’s leading gifting destination for personlised gifts. With the insights garnered overtime through CherryTin, Wedding Wishlist enables smarter gifting for couples and offers convenient, sharper choices and technology to make gifting as easy as it gets.

On winning the mandate, Hammad A Khan, Director, Online Marketing and Servicing, WYP added, “Wedding Wishlist is an extremely effective solution to wedding gifts woes. We are excited to partner with them to take the idea across India. We are equally glad that with all our work so far in the background, we have contributed in modifying the product according to Indian preferences and are now confident to go mass with an equally exciting video campaign that would further manifest online. Wedding Wishlist should be an organic addition to the universe of wedding management, which is growing at 25-30% YoY rate”

Summing it up, Amit Akali, Managing Director and Creative Head, WYP Brand Solution added, “With our strategy and creatives, we are striving towards ensuring that the concept is well received and wedding registry starts featuring as a must do for any Indian wedding. From extremely sharp contextual ads, that would take on the language of blogs they feature on, to an integrated video campaign that would manifest in various forms across online media, the campaign would be brought alive on the most suited media platforms”

Handing over the mandate Kanika Subbiah, Managing Director, Wedding Wishlist and CherryTin shared, “We are confident of charting this road with WYP. For a concept like this, we were looking for a partner who would dig their teeth deep in it and offer solutions. WYP approach of research and insight based solutions gave us the confidence to hand over the mandate to them”.
