Webchutney gets active in Bangalore again

Webchutney, a full service interactive agency, is getting active in Bangalore after lying low for the past eight months in the city. The agency had taken some precautionary measures, as was done by many, when the so-called recession became ubiquitous and defined every decision for any company.

Talking about this, Rahul Nanda, COO, Webchutney, said, “As any company, in the last eight months we had done some cost cutting, anticipating the downturn in economy. While we had not wrapped up our Bangalore operations, but our delivery was mostly happening from Mumbai.”

He added, “We had curtailed our office space in Bangalore as it was a way of cutting cost. Since, there has been a shift and things are looking up now, we decided to scale up our activity here.”

Webchutney handles a host of clients out of Bangalore, including the Titan Group, Van Heusen, and Hanes, among others. The agency is now looking at sharing its office space with Networkplay.in, which is an audience-focused vertical ad network company. Both the companies share an investor. The latter is looking at expanding in the region and has taken a new office space in Bangalore.
