TV18 Group’s HomeShop18 launches e-commerce portal

HomeShop18, the virtual shopping brand from the TV18 Group, has launched an e-commerce portal, www.homeshop18.com. Adding a whole new dimension to virtual retail, HomeShop18 presents a one-stop shopping destination for all segments. Customers can choose from a vast range of branded products across various categories.

Announcing the launch, Sundeep Malhotra, CEO, HomeShop18, said, “HomeShop18 is here to establish virtual retail as the preferred shopping vehicle for the Indian consumer through unmatched convenience, outstanding product quality and exceptional value, all delivered at the customer’s doorstep anywhere in the country. We offer a 15 days, no questions asked money back guarantee. Our aim is to continuously provide value-added propositions for our customers and this is just the first step.”

Explaining the uniqueness and versatility of the portal, Raman Gulati, VP Finance & Operations, HomeShop18, said, “This is a platform which has been built to deliver outstanding customer experience, and it’s uniqueness lies not just in the way we have built the technology back-end, but more importantly in the way we have partnered with the best brand owners, who share our goals to deliver outstanding customer value.”

The website is user-friendly and is equipped with a strong search facility and a speedy browsing option to help customers click through their choices with no difficulty. HomeShop18 offers the consumer the convenient alternative to review his order once his shopping spree is done and can look for more options before checking out from his shopping cart. What’s more, the consumer can track the status of his orders online at any point in time.

A 24-hour call centre also allows customers to call in and book orders. It will deliver products to over 1,600 cities free of cost. Customers also have the option of sending products to multiple shipping addresses while placing a single order.

In the near future, HomeShop18 plans to introduce loyalty programmes for its devoted customers, multi-level marketing and referral marketing where customers can recommend HomeShop18 to other customers and gain points in having done so. Also, very soon HomeShop18 will be the first e-commerce portal to introduce detailed product infomercials and shows on the website, thereby enabling customers to view the product demo and be thoroughly satisfied before purchasing the product.
