TimeJobs.com, the online job portal from Times Group, has been providing tough competition to its competitors with its high-budgeted marketing campaigns. The job portal claims to have registered very high resume uploads on a regular basis, and that the portal receives close to 150 million page-views a month.
Commenting on the growth, R Sundar, President, Times Business Solutions, said, “The portal has been growing steadily with an average of about 16,000 to 20,000 resumes being uploaded daily. This growth is mainly thanks to our unique ‘click and upload’ tool, which has won many national and international awards, and the various other campaigns that have been on-air for sometime now.”
Talking about the marketing plans for the portal, Sundar continued, “We have a yearly budget of Rs 40 crore, which does not include any of our sister offerings. We have been using the online and offline marketing model very strategically, but have concentrated more on the online medium as we receive huge responses from this.”
Talking about the success of the their new campaign, ‘Salary making you feel small?’ Sundar added, “There has been a very good response to the new campaign and this has done two things for us. Firstly, it has increased the number of people visiting our site and secondly, it has made our online campaign much more efficient by giving us more ROIs.”
Taking a look at some of the statistics presented by the portal through an independent external monitoring agency, it has been revealed that TimesJobs.com has 30.73 lakh active resumes, which are less than six months old, and its nearest competitor is at 3.45 lakh, behind with 27.29 lakh resumes.
The job portal has been trying to create synergies across media, apart from offering candidates contact points such as TimesJobs Mobile, a mobile interface that allows the job seeker to search, view and apply for jobs by sending text SMS.
