TIL launches T-Labs for Internet & mobile entrepreneurs

Times Group’s Times Internet Ltd (TIL) has launched a programme, T-Labs, aimed at nurturing and supporting the ideas and projects of Internet and mobile entrepreneurs.

Working with the startups, T-Labs would provide them support at each step from defining and detailing their concept into a business plan to implementing the idea and refining the product by leveraging its vast infrastructure, user base and experience.

Explaining the purpose of the programme, Rishi Khiani, CEO, TIL, said, “In India there is no ecosystem to support early stage startups. We are providing a much-needed platform to the aspiring entrepreneurs to shape their ideas into sustainable business models.”

“There is a lot of talent in India. We want to create a situation where entrepreneurs can use their talents, to launch world-class products. We want to pick up a gem of an idea, help it kick start and make it sustainable,” he added.

TIL has already helped startups like Instablogs, a content network. Commenting on the launch, Gautam Sinha, Director - Technology, TIL, said, “Key words behind the initiative are – Innovation, Incubation & Investment. We truly believe if there is an innovative idea which has potential, then it should be nourished at the right time so that it can reach its potential.”

“Also, early stage businesses require more than just money to succeed. They require close mentoring and inputs on strategy as well as execution,” he added.
