Spotlight on global mobile marketing @MMAF India 2012

Stage is set for the inaugural India edition of the global Mobile Marketing Forum series, MMAF India 2012, in association with exchange4media.

Being held in Delhi on September 20 and 21, the MMA Forum India 2012 commenced with a pre-conference workshop on Mobile Marketing Fundamentals. The Forum will conclude with the first edition of the Smarties India Awards.

MMAF India 2012 will feature industry experts representing the key players in the mobile marketing ecosystem – brands, agencies, technology innovators, publishers and operators, as they share their learnings and best practices. The focus will be on tapping mobile as a critical marketing channel for building smarter campaigns leading to smarter branding, smart sales and ultimately a smarter tomorrow.

Ashutosh Srivastava, Chairman and CEO, Global Emerging Markets, Mindshare, will give the keynote address on ‘Leading the Agency Evolution: Meet the Growing Demands of the New Media Centered Around Mobile’. Another keynote speaker is Paul Berney, Chief Marketing Officer and Managing Director, EMEA, Middle East and Africa, Mobile Marketing Association, who will throw light on ‘Global Mobile Campaign Show’.

Suvodeep Das, Head – Marketing, Kaya will speak on how his company is framing the mobile opportunity. Sunil Kamath, Sales Director, India and SAARC, Opera Software will dissect the international mobile and advertising trends, while Arun Poojari, Regional Account Director, Asia Pacific, Amobee will speak on ‘Mobile Advertising and Big Data to Support the Future’.

There will also be two case study presentations: Christian Geissendoerfer, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, YOOSE Pte will speak on ‘The Importance of Here and Now’, while Arthur Policarpio, Head – Mobile, Asia Pacific, Mobext will elucidate on ‘Mobile Marketing for Retail’.

The day’s proceedings will also see two panel discussions on ‘Mobile Up - 360° Campaign Show’ and ‘A Futuristic View on the Potential of Mobile Advertising and Marketing’.

Meanwhile, there is considerable excitement over the first Smarties India Awards. The finalists for the Awards were recently unveiled across 15 categories, following a jury meet in New Delhi on September 14 under the guidance of Jury Chair Vishnu Mohan, Chief Executive Officer, Havas Media Asia Pacific.

Maxus India leads the finalists with 20 entries shortlisted. Telibrahma follows with eight entries shortlisted. The Smarties is the only global awards programme dedicated exclusively to mobile marketing and recognises local, regional and international campaigns in a global contest that showcase the ‘best of the best’ in the industry. The Smarties India 2012 Awards is sponsored by IMImobile.
