Span Communications has launched its full-fledged digital marketing agency, Span Digital. Kushal Sanghvi has been brought on board as CEO. He recently quit as Managing Director of Spiider Digital Hub.

Though Span Communications had digital offerings earlier too, it was not a separate entity in the group. With Span Digital, the group aims to focus keenly on digital and develop it as an independent offering, shared Naresh Kheterpal, CEO, Span Communications while talking to exchange4media. A team of 10 people has been formed at two locations – Delhi and Mumbai to begin with.

Commenting on formation of Span Digital, Rohit Kheterpal, Director, Span Communications said, “We are bullish on digital and have ambitious plans for this division. We already have a lot of clients spending on digital and would be pleased to offer them more value to their digital plans with this unit.”

Sanghvi has extensive experience in the digital industry with stints at Reliance ADAG, Havas Media where he was responsible for South Asia. He was also one of the founders of Rediff. In his career spanning over 17 years, he has worked with over 300 brands and has been responsive to getting each of them to foray into the digital space.

“India will start seeing a time where digital stands shoulder to shoulder with mainline advertising and we’re looking to take Span Digital towards that step,” said Sanghvi.

Span Digital will be a full service digital agency providing digital advertising, social media management, SEO and SEM, media management, data analytics, web direct as well as technical development from a web and mobile standpoint.
