Shaadi.com launches India’s online wedding directory, ShaadiPages.com

Shaadi.com has launched an online wedding directory, ShaadiPages.com. The new portal is aimed at providing users with a one-stop-source for all their wedding requirements. The site seeks to help couples plan their weddings around their convenient schedules.

Commenting on the potential of this venture, Vibhas Mehta, Business Head, Shaadi.com, said, “With ShaadiPages, we plan to go a step forward from Shaadi.com and escort customers through the entire process of making their wedding a memorable event.”

ShaadiPages has listings spanning over categories like astrology, event, music and entertainment, beauty and grooming, fashion and clothing, decorations, food and beverages, travel and tours, and other related services like invitation cards, wedding planners, etc.

On ShaadiPages, users have to enter the type of service they are looking for, along with their city, locality, pin code, vendor name or keyword, and the site will generate vendor listings meeting the criteria. They can then contact the vendors most suitable to their requirements.

An official communiqué noted that ShaadiPages is equally beneficial for wedding-related service vendors since it connects customers to them through four wedding-related gateways – Shaadi.com, Shaadi Times, Shaadi Point, and Astrolife.com. Vendors are also allowed to create and maintain their personalised webpage, where they can display their products and services in great detail.

“We see great potential in the wedding industry in India which is currently pegged at Rs 75,000 crore, and growing at a phenomenal rate of 25 per cent each year. We are extremely optimistic about the success of ShaadiPages as India’s very own first online wedding directory,” added Mehta.
