Quasar Media, one of the largest independent interactive communication agencies, has recently launched an Internet video banner for Microsoft that not only works on broadband connections but also low bandwidth Internet connections such as dial-ups.

Elaborating on the initiative, Microsoft India Marketing Head, Vineet Durani, said, “We had launched this campaign worldwide in mid-March. In our ‘Realising potential’ campaign we had shown what Microsoft did for business. The new video banner is called Microsoft People Ready Business, and through this we have tried to convey that the most important asset is people. If you empower your people and provide them with correct tools at correct time, they can be your biggest assets.”
He added, “This campaign is impression based. We are running it on websites like Rediff.com, Sify.com, Moneycontrol.com, NDTV.com, and MSN. The difference I found between the TV campaign and the video banners is that people are looking forward to watching different experience and it gives people a break from the clutter. It is a innovative strategy that we are taking forward with the help from Quasar Media.”
Economic Times Ad Sales Head, Sanjay Vasudeva, said, “We will be running this spot for a month on Economictimes.com. The advantage of this video banner is that in a normal ad you can only have four to five frames, but in this you can have a running video. We will be doing this initiative with other clients who come up with such a innovative thing like what Quasar Media did.”
