Political Express newspaper goes online

Political Express, the Hindi newspaper from Political Express Media Pvt Ltd, has launched its e-paper from January 25, 2012. The paper was launched in August last year and is mainly available in Delhi, NCR and east Uttar Pradesh with a claimed circulation of more than 40,000 copies in Delhi and 50,000 copies in Uttar Pradesh.

On the move to launch the e-paper edition, Atir Husain, Editor and Publisher, Political Express, said, “We have been getting mails and messages from many parts of the country like Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Lucknow, stating that people were not getting the paper as we do have any circulation there. Thus, considering the demand of all the people we have decided to launch our e-paper edition.”

He further said, “We have launched the e-paper to cater to our existing customers and hence, are not doing any promotion for it separately. We are fine tuning our website and it will be accessible within a couple of days.” Meanwhile, a mobile application will also be made available in a few weeks’ time for the users to download and read the paper on the go.

With a cover price of Rs 3, Political Express is a 16-page colour paper. The paper also comes out with a four-page supplement on Sundays. Political Express Media also publishes ‘Political Express’ magazine in Hindi and English. E-paper editions of the magazines are also on the anvil.
