People group’s Makaan.com, which is an online real-estate service to help users make wise and profitable decisions related to buying, selling and renting of properties, has launched a Clickpay service, particularly designed keeping in mind the requirements of property brokers in the country.
The Clickpay banner introduced by the portal is an innovative service that allows property brokers to list multiple properties in the same ad. These ads are highly customised and property agents can create their own ads using various editing tools. The theme of the banner can be changed, and so as the font and size of the text. Moreover, this service enables brokers to target customers according to varied specific locations.
The value for advertisers comes in with Clickpay since the payment mechanism is such that the advertiser would only be charged if a user clicks on the banner to display ads, thus ensuring cost effectiveness and efficiency.
The revenue model for the online real estate portal comprises classified ads, banner ads and the innovative ads targeted to the broker community via the Clickpay concept.
Commenting on the marketing initiatives, Aditya Verma, Business Head, Makaan.com, said, “We are in the planning stages of a mass media campaign but it is a little premature to disclose anything of that sort since we are in the process of finalising things. We have a direct marketing approach to target the widespread broker community of India, and we have dedicated sales team for that matter.”
The portal is also planning to incorporate user-generated content in the near future. “We are evaluating user-generated content for Makaan.com. Once the post internal analysis is done and the product reaches its launch phase, we would be in a better position to comment on the same,” added Verma.
Currently Makaan.com has nine branch offices across the country, and is concentrating on the top 13 cities of India, including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Pune, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Indore, Kochi and Ludhiana.
