Ozone Media expands SME vertical

Ozone Media has launched its SME vertical and has roped in Saurabh Garg (formerly with Times Group) to lead the initiative and build the team to cater to SMEs in over 50 cities in India. To spread awareness and educate small businesses, Ozone Media has partnered with Dell and Intel for a series of seminars on digital marketing, titled ‘Grow More’. A four-city tour commenced from Coimbatore on October 12, followed by Kochi and Chennai, and culminating in Bangalore on October 21, 2011.

“We already have a high reach with SME segments across verticals. Our teams are reaching out to businesses in Tier II and III towns as well. With e-commerce building up, we believe there is huge opportunity for SMEs to find their customers online,” noted Kiran Gopinath, Founder and CEO, Ozone Media.

Gopinath further said, “The seminars are an endeavour to create higher awareness of the digital medium. Every penny spent on the medium is measurable, which gives high flexibility to an SME advertiser. While we already see huge interest from this segment, we understand that the series of seminars would be an enabler for SMEs in exploring the medium further. We have a strong focus on the segment and would tap the huge opportunity in this segment.”

This interactive forum will bring SME organisations together and analyse how to create digital reach and grasp opportunities.

SME firms in sectors like travel and tourism, retail, education, IT services have a huge scope of attracting consumers to their products and services. According to IAMAI, the total online display advertising market is expected to grow by 28 per cent to touch Rs 534 crore in 2010-11 from Rs 417 crore in 2009-10, of which the BFSI is the highest spending sector.

The seminar would include presentations on ‘The digital roadmap for new customers and growth for SME businesses’ by Saurabh Garg, GM - SME, Ozone Media, and ‘Using online tools and technologies to streamline businesses’ by Suyesh Shankar, Marketing Manager - Small Business, Dell India.
