Acknowledging how important it is for youngsters to stay in touch with an ever increasing friends network, Enpocket, the global mobile media company, has built a mobile dating and chat service that enables users to search for friends and dates abroad as well as at home.

The Trak Ur Mate WAP application, built using the Enpocket Dating Engine (Eden), has been launched on portal by mobile operators Airtel (India) and Globe (Philippines).

The application allows users to search for a match using age, gender and location parameters, chat anonymously with thousands of others, upload or view pictures of potential dates, friends and also find a date locally or abroad.

Trak Ur Mate was launched as a Sim Tool kit application in 2002 and built up a strong following in India. The launch of the WAP version introduces the next generation of Indians and Filipinos to the service.

According to Peter Larsen, CEO, Enpocket, "The age old traditions of finding a pen-pal or writing love letters have now gone mobile!” He added that services like Track Ur Mate could help tremendously in person-to-person interaction.

“The cultural trends in Asian markets have been encouraging and we expect global mobile communities, powered by Enpocket technologies, to spread to other regions,” added Larsen.

Commenting on the association with Enpocket, Atul Bindal, Director and Group Chief Marketing Officer, Mobility, Bharti Tele-Ventures Ltd, said, "With the launch of Trak Ur Mate on Airtel Live, we add to the excitement and ease of access to the service. The service has been very popular in India as a SIM-based service and we are sure the trend will only get better.”

Advanced features have been incorporated to connect users across two different countries, leading the way for the development of mobile community applications that link audiences across the globe.

The consumers can now carry a connection to the globe, on their mobile, thanks to Enpocket’s latest offering.
