Bharti Televentures – parent to cellular service provider Airtel, seems to have been bitten by the cricket bug as it goes all set to roll out its new ad campaign featuring the willow ace Sachin Tendulkar within the next few days.
The television commercial would hit the screen shortly and an extensive print campaign would follow, informed an agency source.
Considering the ongoing cricket craze swaying the subcontinent, the source said: “Sachin at present is the best bet for any brand and Airtel has rightly decided to cash in on him at the best moment when cricket sentiment is at its peak.”
Previous Airtel campaigns had featured Bollywood celebrities like Shahrukh Khan and AR Rehman. The latest ad, featuring Shahrukh Khan for the prepaid product has been a success, particularly with the slogan ‘Aisi Azadi Aur Kahan’.
