Network18 and Babajob.com enter partnership

Babajob.com has signed a unique partnership with Network18 that will have jobs being searched for, and hires being made, while readers catch up on their daily dose of news.

Babajob’s partnership with Network 18’s hyper-local multi lingual portal, PRADESH 18 will not only support the platform in connecting with their potential employers and job seekers, but also help the news portal provide significant value to their audience base. For now, this website is available in Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi and Urdu, and they plan to introduce more regional languages in the coming months.

Commenting on the same, Vir Kashyap, Co-founder & COO, Babajob.com, said, “Pradesh 18 is a wonderful initiative because it focuses on news in India’s top vernaculars and we are excited to be reaching out to a new and unique audience. We, ourselves, at Babajob take immense pride in being present in multiple regional languages – six right now. One of our key technologies, the Interactive Voice Response system (IVR) is already available in multiple regional languages and has given offline job seekers access to a variety of services.“

Commenting on the partnership with Babajob.com, Manish Maheshwari, CEO, Network18 Digital, said, “Pradesh18 focusses on the content needs of the readers in the vicinity of their place of residence and hence, we want to provide as much local content as possible at Pradesh18, including news, jobs, matrimonials, buying or selling items, etc. It’ll cover news and aggregate other partners who cater to local needs of the reader in a seamless manner. Babajob’s partnership is one such alliance in this direction. Pradesh18 last month reached out to 15 mn unique users last month with more than 50 mn page views.”

Babajob.com currently has over 7 million registered jobseekers and about 500, 000 employers. Babajob.com has raised over $12m in funding from SEEK, Gray Ghost Ventures, Khosla Impact and USAID.
