Info Edge (India) Ltd, which owns Naukri.com, has launched a new website, asknaukri.com. Since most users are constantly looking for advice on career-related issues, asknaukri.com will act as a source of ratification and would provide career counseling. Info Edge also owns NaukriGulf.com, Jeevansathi.com and 99acres.com.
Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Founder and CEO, Naukri.com, said, “We have been leaders in the recruitment space and we want to own the user experience prior to and post recruitment. Career guidance is a natural progression, and with asknaukri.com as our first step, we want to emerge as the definitive face of career guidance in India.”
asknaukri.com has been launched as a free-to-use website and will provide calibrated counseling to all work related queries for its users, thus building upon the trust established by Naukri.com. It allows users to submit their queries online, which are then directed to the panelists. The answers to the queries will be posted on the website, and within 48 hours, and an email will be sent to the user’s inbox.
Apoorva Kumar, VP and National Head-Mobility, Ad Sales and Investments, Naukri.com, said, “Everyone has career and work-related questions. asknaukri.com will be the ideal destination to get free credible advice from experts. Career guidance is a huge unorganised industry and this site is a small initiative from our end to create exponential value in the career guidance business in the long run.”
To make the exercise more comfortable, the queries have been categorised into relevant clusters like ‘career guidance’, ‘interviews and resumes’, and ‘office advice’. Not only can the user ask a question of his choice but also read the hundreds of questions posted by other users in similar areas.
Richa Saklani, Aarti Anand and Sujata Kumra of Workeasy Solutions are the expert panelists for asknaukri.com. Alumni of IIM Ahmedabad, Narsee Monjee, and the University of Chicago, respectively, the team has worked with over 5,000 people across various ages in career planning, interview training, career transitions and corporate culture.
asknaukri.com also plans to enable users to ask questions from their mobile phones. Replies will be sent through SMSes or emails and would also get posted on the site.
