Mogae Digital launches social networking site for Chandigarh

Mogae Digital, promoted by Sandeep and Tanya Goyal, has launched, touted as the first and only social networking site for Chandigarh. The portal, which was launched on January 30, 2010, will be powered by Mogae Digital’s technical team.

Mogae Digital had launched a digital 'Garden of Love', a venture promoted by Sandeep and Tanya Goyal, who are also the Indian JV partners of advertising giant Dentsu in India in February 2009. will sport some special features such as ‘Journey of Life’, where users can view their journey from school, college to their profession on a map. The ‘Who’s like me?’ feature enables users to have a proximity view to see other users who have similar interests as them, which helps them increase their network. This apart, the portal also allows users to contribute information and reviews about the latest events in Chandigarh, share their experiences at various hotels, restaurants, cinemas in the city and much more.

Sandeep Goyal, Chairman, Dentsu India and Chairman, Mogae Group, did his entire schooling and college in Chandigarh. A true blue Chandigarhwallah, Goyal said, “ is a labour of love and my gift to my home city. It is a heartfelt attempt to connect all those who live here and for all those whose hearts still live here. You can take a Chandigarhwallah out of the city, but you cannot take the city out of a Chandigarhwallah!”

Commenting on the need for such a website, actress Poonam Dhillon said, “The entire idea of developing a site like took off when friends like Sandeep, Parambir (a senior IPS officer posted in Mumbai) and I would catch up on good old days in Chandigarh. We realised that even though all of us have branched out of this city, our hearts are still rooted here and we keep coming back to Chandigarh. We realised that there would be so many more people like us and a website like would truly help us stay connected with home, no matter where in the world we may be.”
