MIH Web is on the lookout for India’s topmost bloggers as part of its Great Indian Blogger Hunt contest. The contest seeks to reward the top 100 Indian blogs hosted on the Ibibo platform.
Arunava Sinha, Head of Content and Services, MIH, said, “The hunt is about building and promoting a whole new system where people would get paid for creating online content. The unique thing is that people will get paid every month and not just once. This is a real income option.”
He further said, “We will judge the blogs with certain parameters like level of activity, how many people have visited the blog, what kind of ratings they giving, how interactive the blog is, etc.”
“The 100 winners in the Great Indian Blogger Hunt contest would be selected on the basis of their ibQ scores to be calculated on the basis of three components – Quality Score, Popularity Score and Activity Score. Every time a blogger makes a new post, it would add to his Activity Score. The number of people visiting that post, the number of comments it gets and the number of people who become fans of that blogger would contribute to his Popularity Score. Finally, the rating that the viewers give to a post would determine the Quality Score of the blogger,” explained Sinha.
On how it would benefit MIH, Sinha said, “When you create content on our site, it will be valuable for our users. We will be able to build a relationship over a period of time.”
Sinha also revealed that MIH was planning to introduce at least 10 more products before March 31, 2007.
