MediaGuru Consultants launches bilingual website on IPL

Noida-based MediaGuru Consultants Ltd has launched Iplnewsonline.com, which, it claims, is India’s first bilingual cricket portal in Hindi and English. The portal gives all the latest updates and news, views, and expert insights on the ongoing DLF IPL Tournament 2008.

Sanjay Salil, Managing Director, MediaGuru Consultants, said, “We have launched Iplnewsonline.com as there is no website on IPL except the official website. Moreover, there is no website in Hindi covering the DLF IPL Tournament.”

He further said, “Iplnewsonline.com is headed by Narendra Pal Singh. We have gathered the best team in sports reporting, assimilated unmatched data and profiles, simulated entertainment, sports and business value of the IPL cricket action. We have the unique feature of a dedicated reporter covering every team match-on-match. Our specialists have served the cricket circuit for decades. Besides the on-field action, Iplnewsonline.com would also provide the colours of IPL with the ensuing marriage of cricket and entertainment. Our playing 11 includes the who’s who of Indian cricket coverage – G Rajaraman, NP Singh, V Srivatsa, Gulu Ezeikel, Sunandan Lele, Debashish Datta, R Mohan, Rajan Bala and Poonam Sharma.”

Salil said, “We are competing against other cricket-based websites as also the official IPL website. However, we have the advantage of offering coverage of the IPL matches in Hindi. Our USP is language, the kind of coverage done and our content.”

“Our focus is news and views from the top notch people and to catch the mood of cricket as well as entertainment. We are expecting two lakh page views on a day-to-day basis by end of the May, when the IPL semi-finals would be played,” Salil said, adding, “We are tying up with a TV channel for a joint property so we both get mileage. It would be a content driven proposition.”
