MediaE2E to integrate Veveo’s vTap web video discovery service to its TV programme guide service

MediaE2E, which runs a TV programme guide service, has announced a strategic pact with Veveo Inc, a technology company that delivers the full power of Internet video discovery to users, to offer its vTap web video application as a service in its Indian TV programme guide website, Zipzap.com.

“As we launch video services on Zipazap.com by early 2008, vTap is a vital addition to our plans. We hope to unleash a wider and richer video search experience for our users through vTap,” said Atul Phadnis, CEO, MediaE2E.

Zipazap is one of the India’s largest TV listings and programme guide service that was launched in early 2007. Zipazap has close to 300 Indian TV channel schedules and thousands of programme listings. MediaE2E serves its TV listings and programme guide to millions of users through its multi-platform solution that include online, mobile, IPTV, DTH and cable. While ZipAZap.com and wap.zipazap.com are the online and mobile TV programme guides, MediaE2E is also powering millions of set-top boxes in India across all key TV operators with its TV listings.

vTap is web video discovery service that enables consumers to quickly and easily search, discover and view hundreds of millions of web videos from all over the Internet and play it on their mobile phones, desktops and TVs. vTap makes it easy for consumers to find the video that they are looking for with very little effort because there is no need to enter full words or sentences to tell vTap what they’re looking for. vTap also arranges results and allow devices to display them in a way that makes it easy to browse and select the desired video clip.

Veveo’s vTap widget provides Web publishers a way to very easily embed a powerful web video discovery tool right on their own web pages.
