Maxus has strengthened its digital leadership team with some key hires, as well as internal changes.
Vishal Jacob, who was earlier Digital Lead in West is now elevated to Head of Digital Strategy. Punit Singh joins as Digital Lead in North; will be based out of Gurgaon.
Jacob will continue to be based out of Mumbai and will focus on new product initiatives. Prior to joining Maxus in 2010, he was Head of Digital at Mindshare Malaysia.
“As digital becomes an integral part of the consumers’ life, there is a need for integrated communication approach and better appreciation of data. In my new role, I hope to bring in new digital services that would strengthen our overall digital offering and provide more integrated solutions for our clients,” said Jacob.
Before joining Maxus, Singh was Head of Digital at BBDO Proximity. With over 10 years of experience, he has also worked with Tribal DDB, Reliance Mediaworks, Indigo Consulting and technology start-up E2 Solutions.
“I had been following Maxus very closely for the last few years in the digital space. The leadership and vision coming from Ajit and Unny gave birth to a great core team and some really path-breaking work. I am really excited to be a part of such an inspiring team,” said Singh.
Sairam Ranganathan, who was till recently the Digital Lead for Maxus Bangalore, will take Jacob’s role in Mumbai, while Venkatesh Kamath will be the new Digital Lead for Maxus Bangalore.
Speaking on these changes, Unny Radhakrishnan, Head of Digital Maxus South Asia said, “Maxus’ digital services have grown significantly in the last few years. These changes will go a long way in improving our product and service, while contributing to our clients’ businesses.”

Maxus Digital Services include digital consulting, media, creative, technology and social and works with clients such as Nokia, Google, Vodafone, Nestle, Perfetti, Titan, Hero MotoCorp, Red Bull, Fiat, Tata Motors, Max Life, to name a few.
