Mauj Telecom, Universal Music in strategic tie-up to offer wireless content

Mauj Telecom has tied up with Universal Music to launch an exhaustive range of chart-topping international music content, including Jon Bon Jovi’s latest album ‘Have a Nice Day’ and Shaggy’s latest album ‘Clothes Drop’ for mobile phone users.

Ringtones, wallpapers, themes, colour logos, animations and video ringtones of both Shaggy and Bon Jovi are being made available with all Indian operators. Bon Jovi fans are in for a treat since the entire 12 tracks of the album ‘Have a Nice Day’ will be available through Mauj Telecom for cell phone users.

Announcing the tie-up, Arun Gupta, Chief Operating Officer, Mauj Telecom, said, “Bon Jovi and Shaggy have a huge fan following in India. Mauj along with Universal Music is proud to bring these compositions to the Indian mobile users. For the last few years, we have provided cell phone users with a gamut of wireless entertainment content, with this tie-up Mauj will now offer Indian cell phone users a host of top-notch international talent.”

Universal Music’s Rajat Kakar said, “We are glad to pioneer international content, including video ringtones in India in partnership with Mauj Telecom. The mobile phone is increasingly becoming the third screen after TV and the Internet for music lovers. Mauj and Universal are partnering to bring the best of contemporary international music content on to this screen.”

The content is now live and available on operator portals like Idea Cellular’s Ideafresh, MTNL’s Funstation, BSNL CellOne Galaxy, Reliance’s R World and on
