Findmymatch, a new matrimonial website, claims to have the third highest number of ad listings on its website already. The website has been recently launched by the classifieds booking site, releaseMyAd.com.
The website, which has been in service for limited membership for the last two months, allows users to access matrimonial ads printed offline – in newspapers, online – on the website and mobile phones. Through the website, one can browse profiles and create their own ads. The SMS platform delivers the matches directly to one’s mobile phones.
The target audience for the website is Indian parents who can use the service across different platforms – digital, mobile and print.
Speaking to exchange4media, Sharad Lunia, Business Head, Findmymatch, explained, “The idea behind the website is to connect with people across different mediums – mobile, Internet and print. With this website, we aim to remove distance barriers for advertising for the users. Users in Delhi could advertise, say in Mumbai – on paper and digitally.”
“Previously, India has borne witness to either pure offline solutions – such as matchmakers and newspaper matrimonials or pure online solutions such as matrimony or dating websites. For such solutions to work, both sets of parents need to be together on the same medium, namely either offline or online. By connecting the offline world with the Internet and SMS, Findmymatch is the first true cross platform solution.” he added.
Besides advertising on its affiliated site, releaseMyAd.com, the website is focusing its spending on digital marketing for itself, allocating 85 per cent of its budget for it. The focus of digital marketing would be search marketing and SEO techniques.
On future plans, Lunia said, “As we already have a lot of classifieds on releaseMyAd in various sectors, we would look to expand our horizons into other sectors such as property, automobiles and careers, in a similar online-offline manner.”
