Mantra Consulting launches college search engine

Delhi-based training and recruitment firm Mantra Consulting has launched collegemantra.com, an online college search portal that offers advanced college and course search options to high school and college students. The company has been primarily involved in the education sector, since its inception last three years ago.

The website has different segments that helps one find and compare colleges, and wide range of career options available today. The website also has a forum wherein open discussions and ideas are voiced and shared by diverse groups of people. Additionally, college ratings offered by the website are based on the feedback gathered from students, alumni and faculty of the institutes.

The absence of an organised integrated website on education was the rationale behind developing collegemantra.com. Mantra Consulting has conducted a survey on 1,400 first year college students and found out that students don't have any logical and convenient college search processes. Their decisions are mostly based on recommendations from parents and friends, which may not be justified.

Presently, the website has complied information on more than 5,000 colleges across the country, over 28,000 courses and has over 300 experts from world’s top institutions to answer students’ career-related queries.

According to Anubhav Jain, CEO, Mantra Consulting, “We have dedicated an eight-member team that collects and updates information on colleges. We are adding comprehensive information on about 80 institutes daily. Information on colleges in India is scattered and unorganised. Students should know their options and research before they finalise a college. Soon students will be able to purchase prospectuses and admission forms online, and fill in a single form to apply at multiple colleges.”

Jain has earlier been Marketing Manager for PepsiCo where he was looking after the marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns in East India. He was also Country Head for Samsung Electronics for their computer monitor division, and has headed the team that launched several new flat panel screens in India.
