MakeMyTrip.com launches CRM initiative, ties up with Outlook Traveller for special promotion

Online travel agency MakeMyTrip.com has launched an entire customer relationship management initiative under the brand name Super Tripper.

Elaborating on the initiative, Makemytrip.com Co-founder, Sachin Bhatia, said, “There are two programmes which we are launching for our customers. The first programme entitles any customer who has bought a travel package from MakeMyTrip worth Rs 10,000 and above to a one-year subscription of Outlook Traveller free. The Outlook people will be sending the subscription. Makemytrip.com has tied up with Outlook Traveller for this promotion, which began last month and will continue for quite some time.”

Bhatia further said there would be another programme, called High5. “Under this scheme our customers can refer their friends to buy MakeMyTrip vouchers. If the friends buy the voucher, then the person who has recommended them gets an e-voucher worth Rs 500, which he can redeem in his next buy. This scheme is starting from next week. We will keep introducing new schemes in the High5 programme,” Bhatia informed.

On being asked how these schemes would benefit MakeMyTrip, Bhatia replied, “Our own customers will be acting as brand ambassadors and they will promote us through this initiative. The advantage will be that it will help us lower our marketing spends in the long run.”
