MakeMyTrip travels to the BlackBerry App Store

MakeMyTrip is making its way to your phones, and now exists as an app for BlackBerry. Despite all the hype around other app stores, the BlackBerry is still a very popular smartphone in India, as other options are still scarce, and so launching on BlackBerry App World makes a lot of sense.

The mobile application will allow one to book, compare, and search, giving a lot of options without requiring the user to fill in his/her personal information, and generally streamlining the experience for mobile.

The application also has another interesting feature – it places the flight bookings into the BlackBerry calendar automatically, which one can share with other people on one’s BlackBerry network as part of the device functionality, providing a really nifty tool for people who are planning to travel for work.

Deep Kalra, Founder and CEO, MakeMyTrip.com, said, “MakeMyTrip is now synonymous with the way India plans its travel, and BlackBerry smartphone has become an indispensible part of the working professionals and the young go-getters’ lives. With this unique application, we bring the best of both worlds together to provide a complete travel experience.”
