Maddies'17: GSK, Mindshare speak after winning big

exchange4media celebrated its annual Mobile Awards – The Maddies, on Wednesday at ITC Grand Central Mumbai. The Maddies acknowledge and recognize all marketing stories that employ an effective mobile marketing strategy done in India and are equally judged on innovation, concept, execution and results by a highly experienced independent panel of the industry. These awards are open to all industries linked to mobile marketing (clients, creative, media agencies, digital agencies, publishers, etc).

GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Ltd. won the Mobile Marketer of the Year award with 2 of its campaigns getting 4 awards.

"It feels great to win this recognition and we thank exchange4media for this honour. When you have a target group, which is very complex, from 5-55 years, targeting through mobile medium is always a challenge and it has been a journey of learning and I think this award is an endorsement of all the efforts put in by different teams," said Ramin Saher, Head-Digital & Media (South Asia) at GSK Healthcare.

"If you look, the maximum time spent by anyone is on mobile and not even with family. It is an important medium and will play a critical role in the future, so we are very happy to win this award and thanks a lot once again," Gaurav Kaul, GM (Sales) at GSK Consumer Healthcare.

Mindshare India bagged a total of 19 metals; including 7 Gold, 6 Silver and 6 Bronze; thus winning the Agency of the Year award.

"It is a great recognition for all the great work done across clients and categories. We have won recognition across nearly all of the brands and this great motivation for the work being done in the mobile space. In fact, we are also thankful to the jury for recognizing some of the work. Congrats to all the winners," said Prasanth Kumar, CEO, South Asia at GroupM.
