LG's #KarSalaam initiative saluted spirit of Indian soldier on Republic Day

Consumer durables major LG Electronics celebrated India’s 68th Republic Day with the launch of its #KarSalaam initiative dedicated to the Indian soldier. The campaign invited the nation to come forward and send their wishes to the Indian Armed Forces.

The LG campaign reached out to citizens through radio, on ground and digital communication to collect their wishes for the jawans. People were also invited to join in through the social media platforms. Posts also poured in on www.karsalaam.in . LG even sought the participation of the families of the soldiers and forwarded their heart-warming messages to these on-duty jawans.

At the launch of the campaign, Nimish Shah, Regional Business Head, Mumbai, LG Electronics India, said, “We salute the spirit of our soldiers who valiantly lay down their lives to protect the nation. This is our opportunity to reach out to them. Therefore, we took this initiative to bring together the citizens of India to express their gratitude to our soldiers. The selfless devotion of our armed forces is deserving of our respect, and what better occasion than the Republic Day to salute them. As a small token of our respect, LG will make a small contribution to the Armed Forces Welfare Fund. Let’s celebrate heroism, patriotism and a good life! #KarSalaam.”

The company said it is committed to walk the extra mile to provide a good life to the citizens of India and had, in the same spirit, sought to extend its support and solidarity with the soldiers who play a great role in ensuring that “we lead a fearless life”.
