LG unveils new website on cricketer rankings

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the best of them all? The answer now lies in not some magical mirror, but the official website of LG ICC Player Rankings, The site allows cricket supporters to compare the ODI careers of the players.

Speaking at the launch of the new website in the Capital recently, ICC General Manager-Cricket, David Richardson, said, “The LG ICC Player Rankings provide an interesting insight into the careers of past and present players.”

“I’ve found it fascinating looking back at the highs and lows of some of the players I played with and against, and I’m sure the website will provide many talking points for cricket lovers around the world,” he further said.

Besides providing the list of current top100 batsmen and bowlers in Test and ODI cricket, the new website also includes the career ranking records of all players who have ever played Test match or ODI cricket. It also allows users to compare the cricket careers of today’s stars with the all-time greats.

For the record, the LG ICC Player Rankings were launched in January 2005 and are the official rankings for international Test and ODI cricket.
