#JioJawan trends in 26 cities as tribute to defence personnel during Mumbai Marathon

According to iTrended.com, the hashtag #JioJawan was the top trend in India between 6:20am and 11:50am on January 17, 2016 during the 13th edition of the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon. The trend came into effect after 102 crack commandos, ex-special forces and SPG/NSG personnel, who are Reliance employees and popularly called ‘Jio Jawans’, ran the 21.1km half marathon as tribute to defence personnel of the nation.

The #JioJawan hashtag trended in 26 cities in India. #JioJawan also trended in Vietnam and got ranked at 46 among the world’s highest trend rankings.

The hashtag #JioJawan was the top Twitter trend in places like Amritsar, Bhopal, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, Patna, Rajkot, Ranchi, Jaipur, Nagpur, Kanpur and Srinagar. While in other cities like Indore, Surat and Lucknow #JioJawan trended at number 2.

In terms of time spent, #JioJawan was trending at number one in Mumbai 170 minutes, Ranchi 155 minutes, Chennai 150 minutes, Kolkata 150 minutes and in Delhi for 85 minutes.
