Online travel company Expedia India has appointed Isobar India, part of Aegis Media Group, to manage its social media presence in India. The win comes on the back of a multi-agency pitch. Isobar will be handling the complete social media presence for Expedia, including on Facebook, blogs, Twitter and other video sites.

Commenting on the development, Manmeet Ahluwalia, Marketing Head, Expedia, said, “Social media and ORM is perhaps the most important tool for success in today’s digitally connected world, especially in our line of business. We are very excited that the world leader in online travel has appointed us as their social media and ORM agency. Social media is a core ingredient for Expedia’s success and Isobar will work as the catalyst in achieving this success.”
