Verismo Networks, an Internet media company that develops software platforms for powering next generation rich media content and consumer devices, has appointed Abhay Dubey as President of its India operations. This follows Verismo’s commitment to operate directly and wholly from India.
As President, Dubey will be responsible for day-to-day management of employees as well as the unit’s long-term growth. He will also spearhead the company’s functional areas such as administration and community affairs, finance, human resources, information management, marketing and public relations.
Commenting on his new assignment, Dubey said, “I am immensely excited about taking care of Verismo’s Indian operations. I have found the right product and the right people in Verismo. The company’s key focus area will be convergence based on bringing rich media related web content to TV in India.”
Dubey has over 20 years’ senior management experience. He was a senior executive in companies such as Verecomm, Frequency Technology and Mentor Graphics. Prior to joining Verismo, Dubey was the MD of Speedera Networks, where he was responsible for opening up the European and Asian markets for Speedera services and establishing its presence there. He also launched Speedera’s India operations.
