Indian Digital Media Awards: Over 500 entries received

The second Indian Digital Media Awards, being held in Mumbai this month, have now stopped accepting entries. The awards, being hosted by exchange4media, have seen over 530 entries, and there will be 27 awards across seven categories.

Mahendra Swarup, Chief Mentor, Smile Interactive Technologies Group, and Shashi Sinha, CEO, Lodestar UM India, will co-chair the Jury this year.

The IDMA recognises the work being done in the ever-growing advertising and marketing communications activity in the digital media space, specifically Internet, mobile, gaming, social media and the blogosphere.

The jury process will be based on the following parameters: concept, execution, originality, simplicity, and, ease of access and navigation. For viral and social media entries, the jury will also look for effectiveness in terms of results.

For the search category, the jury will look for evidence of how successfully the set objectives were met, e.g., number of monthly page impressions, number of active users, number of user registrations.

Basing judgment solely on the entry submitted, the jurors will not consider any prior experience with the entrants activity, nor will they be voting on work that they were involved with, directly or indirectly. All this is to ensure fair and unbiased results, which can then highlight the best in digital media in India.

The entire process will be done online, so that jurors are not influenced by one another either.
